Ten questions
I use LinkedIn to (optional)

This answer only changes the order of what we suggest you fix. It does not change the score.

1. My headline says what I do and who I do it for, and it reads clearly in one line.
2. My headline is not a string of loose keywords separated by bars.
3. My About section sounds like how I would explain my work over dinner.
4. My About section has one or two real facts about my work.
5. My experience uses concrete results instead of adjectives, and all my roles are filled in.
6. I have real recommendations, written in the words of people who worked with me.
7. I have recent posts visible under my profile.
8. Someone reading my last five posts could guess what I do for a living.
9. I reply to people who visit my profile or comment, while it is still fresh.
10. I have a recent, clear photo and one to three useful Featured items.

About this tool

How it works

  1. Answer yes, partly or no to each question.
  2. See your result and the three things costing you the most points.
  3. Pick what to fix first and follow the guide we suggest.

What it measures and what it doesn't

This audit checks practices we write about in our guides. It does not measure how often you show up in searches, because LinkedIn search tends to show people closest to the searcher first. For that, read Why your LinkedIn profile isn't showing up in searches (and why fixing keywords won't help).

Frequently asked questions

Do you save my answers?

No. What you tick stays in your browser. We only measure, anonymously, which range the result landed in, without your answers.

Is this an official LinkedIn score?

No. It is our own review list, based on practices we write about in our guides. The three ranges are a help for ordering your tasks and not a LinkedIn threshold.

How often should I repeat it?

When you change your headline or your offer, and after you have posted for a few weeks.
