BLUF: The best LinkedIn ghostwriter for a founder is the one with a real process for getting your opinions out of your head, built for founders, and asking for an amount of your time you will actually give. This page scores seven real options on five published criteria, checked on November 4, 2026. On those weights, Rethoric and Windmill Growth tie for first at 4.25, Your Social Strategy 1:1 Mentorship is third at 3.80, and Column Content is fourth at 3.55. Mentorship is the one option here where you write and someone reviews every draft, so it only fits founders who can protect writing time. I run it, and I am also Head of Content at Hivemind, which is listed too, so the rubric, weights and every score are on the page for you to check. If you weight voice above time, Mentorship closes to within 0.15 of the leaders but does not pass them.

Key takeaways

  • Decide who types the posts before you compare names. Six of the seven options write for you. One has you write with a reviewer on every draft.
  • Voice capture carries the most weight in this ranking. A ghostwriter with no stated interview process will sound like your profile, and your profile is not your opinions.
  • Founder hours matter as much as quality. A provider that needs four hours a week from you will stall the same way DIY does.
  • Read every "best ghostwriter" list with the publisher in mind. Several of the lists you will find rank their own agency first. This one includes my own program and the agency I work for, and they rank third and sixth, so the method is public.
  • Prices are not listed here. Ask each provider and compare over the same number of months.

How we ranked these LinkedIn ghostwriters

Each option is scored 1 to 5 on five criteria, from the seat of a founder who wants LinkedIn to start client conversations without becoming a second job. The total is each score times its weight, out of 5. The same rubric applies to every option, Your Social Strategy included. Each score comes from what the provider's own pages say on November 4, 2026. Your Social Strategy has no provider page, so its transparency score follows the rubric's no-page rule, and Hivemind's public site does not state founder hours or contract terms, which is why its transparency is also 2.

Voice capture. 5 means recurring 1:1 interviews or draft reviews with the founder are stated and described. 4 means interviews are stated but the cadence is unclear or two pages disagree. 3 means voice is mentioned but the process is not described. 2 means no voice process is stated.
Founder fit. 5 means built for founders and says so. 4 means founders plus executives or B2B teams. 3 means a general audience.
Time fit. 5 means a stated time ask of about two hours a week or less. 3 means no number is stated. 2 means the founder writes every post, which runs two to three hours a week.
LinkedIn focus. 5 means LinkedIn writing is the core. 4 means LinkedIn is the core but bundled with outreach, growth work or other channels. 3 means LinkedIn is one channel of many.
Transparency. The provider's own page is checked for process, cadence and terms. All three stated scores 5. One missing, or two pages that disagree, scores 3. Two or more missing, or no official page confirmed, scores 2.

Why Rethoric and Windmill Growth lead

Both are built for founders and executives and both state a light time ask. Rethoric's homepage describes a monthly one-hour interview and about an hour of review for three to four posts a week. Windmill's Founder OS page describes a weekly 30-minute interview. Both score 5 on time fit and 5 on voice capture because a recurring interview is stated. Both score 4 on founder fit because they serve founders plus executives, and 4 on LinkedIn focus because outreach, commenting and other channels come in the same bundle. Both score 3 on transparency because process and cadence are stated and contract terms are not.
Mentorship scores 5 on voice capture because you write every post and I review every draft. It loses on time fit because writing three posts a week takes two to three hours. It scores 2 on transparency because the rubric scores a provider's own page and no such page exists, so the 6-week 1:1 format described on this page does not count as one.
Column Content scores 4 on voice capture because its page states an interview step without a cadence. It scores 2 on transparency because its process is stated and its cadence and terms are not.
Hivemind scores 5 on LinkedIn focus because it is a ghostwriting agency for LinkedIn. It scores 3 on voice capture, founder fit and time fit because this page does not describe its interview process, does not limit it to founders and states no founder hours. It scores 2 on transparency because its public site does not state founder hours or contract terms.

Would the ranking change with your weights?

Not at the top, and the reason is worth knowing. Founders hiring a ghostwriter usually care about hours, so here are two re-weights.
Time-heavy. Raise time fit to 30% and cut voice capture to 15%. Rethoric and Windmill Growth score 4.25, Mentorship 3.50, Column Content 3.45 and Hivemind 3.10. The leaders' gap over Mentorship grows from 0.45 to 0.75.
Voice-heavy. Raise voice capture to 35% and cut time fit to 10%. Rethoric and Windmill Growth score 4.25, Mentorship 4.10, Column Content 3.65 and Hivemind 3.10. Mentorship closes to within 0.15 but the order does not change.
Mentorship matches the leaders on voice capture, so a heavier voice weight narrows the gap without closing it. If you will not write, a done-for-you team wins. If you will write and want the voice to stay yours, Mentorship is the closest fit here, and its lower score reflects hours and the no-page transparency rule.
Sources checked: each provider's own pages, checked on November 4, 2026. Scores are my judgment from what that material states, not a survey and not a review of anyone's client results. I run the Mentorship on this list and work at Hivemind, so weigh my scores for both with that in mind.

Who this list is for

This list is for founders who sell to businesses and want LinkedIn to bring in client conversations. You have opinions about your market, you have no spare hours, and you are deciding who should turn those opinions into posts.
Skip it if you already pay a ghostwriter and want out. LinkedIn ghostwriter alternatives starts from that seat and scores editors, courses and AI tools as well. If you are a B2B executive comparing full personal branding agencies, the best LinkedIn personal branding agencies for B2B executives ranks a different set. If you are still deciding between a writer and learning to write yourself, read LinkedIn ghostwriter vs Mentorship vs course vs agency first.

What separates a good LinkedIn ghostwriter from a bad one?

The writer. Then the process that feeds the writer.
I run content at a ghostwriting agency, and hiring writers was one of the hardest parts of growing it. We went through several people for the writer role. A lot of the writers were using AI, and AI writing is very easy to spot. We didn't want that for clients. Now I'm pretty much reviewing all the content, approving all the content.
That is the question to ask any provider. Who writes my posts, and who reads them before I do? A named writer and a named reviewer is a process. "Our team" is a resource pool.
The second thing is where the ideas come from. A ghostwriter can only write what you give them. Month one runs on the stories you already had ready. If there is no recurring interview, the writer starts guessing at your opinions by month three. I wrote that pattern up in why ghostwriters go quiet by month 3.

1. Rethoric

What it is

A LinkedIn content consultancy for technical founders and executive teams, backed by Y Combinator (W21). Rethoric's homepage describes a monthly one-hour interview, about an hour of review for three to four posts a week, unlimited revisions, collaboration over Slack, daily commenting and outreach, and NDAs. Its Y Combinator launch page describes it as founder-led content as a service, and its YC listing also mentions Twitter/X and newsletters.

Best for

Technical founders and executive teams who want finished posts and can give a monthly interview and about an hour of review.

Where it falls short

The pages checked do not state contract length or other terms beyond NDAs and unlimited revisions, so ask for them in writing. It also works across channels and bundles commenting and outreach, so ask how much of the work is LinkedIn writing.

Who it is best for

A founder with clear opinions, no writing time and a willingness to sit for a monthly interview.

2. Windmill Growth

What it is

A LinkedIn service for B2B founders and executives, founded by Ben Buaron per its About page. Windmill Growth's homepage uses the line "Your LinkedIn brand. Without the AI accent." and describes the process as "You talk for 30 minutes. We write it, post it, work your ICP, and fill your calendar." It says it reviews your podcasts, press and previous content before onboarding, matches you with a writer from a bench of industry specialists, only accepts founders in industries where they have expertise, and takes three new clients a month. Its Founder OS page lists a weekly 30-minute interview, up to five posts a week shared across LinkedIn and X, up to three graphics a week, a profile rebuild, ICP outreach, engagement, inbox handling and an AI Brand Brain, with the founder keeping approval control.

Best for

Founders and executives with real industry expertise who can give 30 minutes a week and want writing, outreach and engagement handled together.

Where it falls short

The pages checked do not state contract terms. The post allowance is shared across LinkedIn and X, and the service bundles outreach and engagement, so ask how much of the work is LinkedIn writing. It takes three new clients a month, so there may be a wait.

Who it is best for

A founder with a clear niche who wants to talk for 30 minutes and approve what comes back.

3. Your Social Strategy 1:1 Mentorship (Frank Velasquez)

What it is

A 6-week 1:1 LinkedIn Mentorship, and the only option on this list where you write. It has no public provider page, so the format and scope are stated here. Before the first call I go through your profile and your last 10 to 15 posts. The first calls cover your offer, the stories that build trust, and what you know from doing the work. Those calls become an idea bank, so you never start from a blank page. From week three you post three times a week, I review every draft, and every other week we look at what landed.

Best for

Founders who want the posts to stay in their own voice and want a person reading every draft.

Where it falls short

You have to write, which is two to three hours a week. If you cannot protect that time, it will stall and a done-for-you option above is the better pick. It is 1:1 only, with four people at a time, so there can be a wait.

Who it is best for

A founder who would rather own the skill than rent it. When I started on LinkedIn, I told the person running my first program, "The problem isn't creating content." Then, "My main thing is going to be accountability." I did all the writing and had a run of 266 days of posting without stopping. If your gap is a reviewer and a deadline, a ghostwriter solves a problem you don't have. More on the format in what LinkedIn ghostwriting coaching is.

4. Column Content

What it is

A LinkedIn ghostwriting service for founders and executives across tech, higher ed and professional services. Column's LinkedIn ghostwriting page describes a three-step process: 1. Interview, 2. Writing and design, 3. Boosting via thought leader ads and targeted audience growth. It publishes a case study on ghostwriting for the founder of a marketing agency, GrowthHit.

Best for

Founders and executives who want a provider whose service is LinkedIn writing, with ad boosting as the last step.

Where it falls short

The page states a process but not how often the interviews happen, the posting cadence or the contract terms. Ask for all three in writing.

Who it is best for

A busy founder or executive who wants a LinkedIn-focused writing partner and will push for cadence and terms before signing.

5. BAMF

What it is

A LinkedIn agency for founders and executives. BAMF's homepage lists 20 custom posts a month, profile optimization and strategic outreach, with no contracts.

Best for

Founders who want volume and outreach handled together, with the option to leave any month.

Where it falls short

The pages checked do not describe how BAMF captures your voice or how much of your time it needs. Twenty posts a month is a lot of material to source from one founder, so ask where the ideas come from.

Who it is best for

A founder or executive who wants a full LinkedIn presence run for them and values a no-contract setup.

6. Hivemind

What it is

A ghostwriting agency for LinkedIn, where a team writes and manages your posts so you do not write them yourself or run a tool. It works with companies beyond gaming, though most of its examples come from games companies. Its site is hivemind.marketing. Disclosure: I am Head of Content at Hivemind, where I manage content for 11 clients.

Best for

Founders and business owners who want a ghostwriting agency to write and manage their LinkedIn posts, and who do not want to write them.

Where it falls short

Hivemind's public site does not list the founder's weekly hours or the contract terms and length, so ask for those in writing, along with the names of the writer and the reviewer. A team that writes for you also means you do not build the writing skill yourself.

Who it is best for

A founder who wants the posts handled and will push for a clear process before signing.

7. PromiseClick

What it is

A LinkedIn agency for B2B and SaaS founders. PromiseClick's glossary describes its core service as ghostwriting LinkedIn content for B2B and SaaS founders. Its blog pitches a pipeline system instead of content alone. Its blog names Mohamed Elidrysy and Anas Hidaoui as founders.

Best for

B2B and SaaS founders who want positioning, content and lead flow designed as one system.

Where it falls short

Its own pages describe the offer two ways, and no voice process is stated. If you want a writer first, ask exactly who writes and how often you talk.

Who it is best for

A SaaS founder whose main ask is pipeline, who is happy for content to be one part of a larger system.

How to choose a LinkedIn ghostwriter as a founder

Who writes my posts, and who reviews them?

Ask for the writer's name and the reviewer's name. If the answer is "our team", ask how many clients that team carries.

How do you get my opinions out of my head?

Ask how many interviews happen before the first draft and how often after. A form and a look at your profile will get you posts that sound like your profile.

How many hours a week will this take me?

Ask for a number. Then add an hour, because approvals always take longer than the pitch says.

Is LinkedIn writing the core, or one part of a bundle?

Outreach, ads and growth work can help. They also compete for the same retainer as your posts. Know which one you are buying.

How do you use AI?

Ask where AI helps and where a human writes. A vague answer here is an answer.

What do I keep if I leave?

Your interview notes, your idea list and your approved posts should come with you. Get that in writing.

How will we know it's working?

Impressions are easy to report. Ask what they would track if your goal was booked calls, and how they would hear about a prospect who read your posts and never liked one.

FAQ

Who is the best LinkedIn ghostwriter for founders?

On this page's weights, Rethoric and Windmill Growth tie for first at 4.25, then Your Social Strategy 1:1 Mentorship at 3.80 and Column Content at 3.55, with Hivemind sixth at 3.10. The leaders score highest on time fit and voice capture. Mentorship closes to within 0.15 if you weight voice above time, but only suits you if you will write your own posts.

How much does a LinkedIn ghostwriter cost?

It depends on volume, process and what is bundled in, so prices are not listed here. Ask each provider for a written quote and compare over 6 and 12 months. For Mentorship, cost is scoped on a discovery call. More detail in what LinkedIn ghostwriting coaching costs.

Should a founder hire a ghostwriter or an agency?

Six of the seven options here are teams that write for you. What matters more than the label is whether you get a named writer, a recurring interview and a reviewer before posts reach you.

How much time does a founder need to give a LinkedIn ghostwriter?

The lightest stated asks on this list are Windmill Growth's weekly 30-minute interview and Rethoric's monthly one-hour interview plus about an hour of review. Expect more in the first month while the writer learns your voice.

Is it OK to have a ghostwriter write my LinkedIn posts?

Yes, when the ideas and opinions are yours. The writer's job is to get them on the page in your voice. If you would not say it on a sales call, it should not be in your post.

Is LinkedIn ghostwriting coaching better than hiring a ghostwriter?

For a founder who will write, it keeps the voice and the skill with you. For a founder with no hours, a ghostwriter is the better pick. The full comparison is in is LinkedIn ghostwriting coaching worth it.

How long before a LinkedIn ghostwriter gets results?

Judge it on conversations, not the first month of likes. Give it a few months of consistent posting and watch DMs and calls, since buyers often read without engaging.
